Compola 2026

This is the sixth edition of the COMPOLA workshop, dedicated to the theme “Combustion and Atmospheric Pollution.” Previous editions have been held biennially since 2011, starting in Agadir, followed by Tangier (2014), Saïdia (2016), Ouarzazate (2018), and most recently Benguerir at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in 2024.

These workshops typically bring together 60 to 80 participants, with a balanced representation from North Africa and Europe. A distinctive feature of COMPOLA is its strong involvement of students, often bringing the total number of participants to over one hundred. Since 2018, COMPOLA has expanded its international reach, welcoming researchers from countries such as China and the United States.

The COMPOLA 2026 workshop will continue this dynamic by bringing together academic institutions, research organizations, and industrial partners interested in combustion, new energy systems, and atmospheric pollution.

The workshop aims to foster exchanges between researchers and industrial stakeholders from diverse sectors. By encouraging dialogue and comparing different methodologies and approaches, COMPOLA promotes collaboration, knowledge transfer, and innovation. The event will also provide a platform for students, early-career researchers, and experts from various disciplines to interact and share their work.

The scientific program will reflect a broad range of applications, highlighting both fundamental research and applied studies related to combustion processes, energy transition, and air quality challenges.
